White Cotton Peonies

Today marks the start of The Windsor Festival, which I’m mega excited for, however sad that sounds!

For those of you who haven’t heard about the festival (I didn’t know much about it until my friend told me about it!), it runs from 15th to 28th September and consists of music and art designed to bring the local community of our Royal town together to celebrate our culture.

There’s a wide variety of events taking place in venues throughout Windsor, including a lunch with Emma Bridgwater, music by Yolanda Brown, Secrets of The Da Vinci Code and a private photographic tour of the castle.

We’ve been lucky enough to have secured tickets to An Evening with Michael Parkinson, who is a personal hero of mine. With so many interviews under his belt with so many global legends, I can only imagine the dirt he must have to dish!! It’ll be so interesting to see him on the opposite side of the interview.

Windsor Festival

I’m the most excited however, for the following week when the Queen has granted access for the Waterloo Chamber in Windsor Castle to be used by the Hanover Band – one of the UK’s best orchestras, to celebrate their 300th anniversary. It’s a black tie affair which of course means that I’ll be panicking up until the day about what to wear!?!

If you haven’t already bought tickets, it’s not too late! There are still limited tickets available here.

Isn’t our town great? I <3 Windsor! xo

Hi! My name's Mel and I'm a 30 something blogger living in Windsor, UK with my two ginger cats and a rather handsome husband. White Cotton Peonies is the place where you'll find my ramblings on health, fashion, beauty, food and my random adventures as a soon-to-be mum. Enjoy.
