White Cotton Peonies

It’s no secret that when it comes to my hair, I’m lazy. I blame it on having fuzzy bear hair but the truth is that I just don’t have the patience to blow dry it properly. This usually leads to a bit of backcoming, a quiff, an extra bit of eyeliner to detract the eye and Bob’s your uncle, Fanny’s your aunt… I’m good to go. The lovely folks at Wahanda must have spotted this pattern and took pity on me, inviting me to the launch of London’s hottest new blow dry bar, Duck & Dry.

I’ve always been a massive fan of blow dry bars – so quick and easy, it’s like the hair angels landed on Earth. Duck & Dry take blow dry bars to another level though. Not only do they have the cutest cafe there (which also serves prosecco – SCORE), every single detail has been thought out…. it’s like walking in to a massive Pinterest board, beyond cute.

I got chatting to the founder, Yulia Rorstrom who was just lovely. She explained that having spent quite a lot of time in the States and in the Middle East, she realised that we’re still behind the curve when it comes to accessible, affordable hair styling. She appointed Snowden Hill as Creative Director, who had previously done her hair at her wedding and it’s clear to see what passion goes into his art. He’s amazing.

I was given a menu to choose which style that I wanted, but I’m useless when it comes to things like that. The lovely stylist that I had luckily took charge and created a style to add more body to my hair, balancing out the shape of my face. There was such an energy in the salon and the team were SO friendly… I can definitely see myself booking me and my friends in for a girly pamper before heading on a night out.

A blow dry costs just £25, which is incredible value for money. What’s more, Wahanda have partnered with Duck & Dry for their launch! If you book your treatment through Wahanda using the code DUCKANDDRY you’ll get £10 off of your booking. Ah-maze.

As if Chelsea wasn’t already one of my favourite haunts, I’ve just been given another reason to spend more time there. If you’re looking for an affordable treat, be sure to book yourself in to the Duck & Dry team, I promise you won’t regret it. Being lazy just became OK.
