White Cotton Peonies

After a week of decorating the cottage and preparing for Christmas, I’ve never been as excited. Windsor is by far, my favourite place on Earth. There’s nothing more lovely than pottering around the shops, finalising Christmas shopping, stopping for a cheeky glass of mulled wine along the way.

As much as I’m a summer lover (I’m always pretty grumpy in the cold), Christmas is by far my favourite time of year. It’s a chance to catch up with family and friends, to express love for one another and good spirit for the local community. Everybody seems so much friendlier to one another and there’s a certain buzz and expectation in the air.

Last week, I headed home to see the family ahead of Christmas, with plenty of wine and champagne consumed at the Bath Christmas Market. Surrounded by the people that I love, I’ve never felt happier (due to the company, not the alcohol but of course that didn’t do any harm!).

I’m looking forward to enjoying Tribal’s team Christmas party this week, followed by afternoon tea at Coworth Park – a little tradition that myself and the boy have adopted. I’m like a little kid excited to see Santa.

What do you folks have planned for the festive period? What’s your favourite time? I personally love Christmas Eve – there’s something special about the excitement and anticipation about what’s to come….

Much Christmas love to you all!
