White Cotton Peonies

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of hosting a brunch for some of my favourite bloggers at Rosewood London. The hotel recently launched London’s first SLOW (sustainable, local, organic, wholesome) market in their courtyard and to mark the occasion, the Mirror Room updated their brunch menus to incorporate local seasonal produce, sourced from the market. I love farmer’s markets, but it’s unusual to be treated to such delights in the centre of London!

For those of you who are yet to visit Rosewood London – you need to pay a visit! Whether it’s to Scarf’s Bar for a fun, young, classy bar with a touch of a gentleman’s club feel about it or the Holborn Dining Room for supper, there are so many reasons to pay a visit. This was my first time eating in the Mirror Room and it’s simply breathtaking!

We were greeted with a glass of champagne whilst I excitedly chatted to my guests. Some of the bloggers included Hemsley + Hemsley, Madeleine Shaw, Rachel Phipps, We The Food Snobs, Cook Your Dream, Get The Skinny, Le Blow, Kavey Eats, Hip and Healthy, Fabric of My Life, Mummy I Can Cook and Uyen Luu. I was in blogger heaven.

The Mirror Room was set out with stations – there was a meat and fish counter where you could get aged meats, smoked salmons… mnnn. There was also a room dedicated to eggs and pancakes – whatever your heart desires – scrambled, poached, boiled or omelettes. Other stations included those dedicated to fruits, breads, cheeses, pastries and cereals, not to mention the deserts! The deserts!

As if that wasn’t enough, what we didn’t realise was that this was then followed by a MAIN course – locally sourced meat, fish or chicken. Unfortunately I’d eaten so much, there was no room left – but next time, I’ll definitely plan my portions accordingly.

If you’re looking for a lovely way to enjoy a Sunday, the market takes place between 10am and 3pm every Sunday. It’s definitely worth checking out!
