On Sunday, I headed to Richmond for a long overdue catchup with my bestie. She mentioned that there was a new kind in town which would be perfect for lunch and so to No. 1 Duke Street we headed.
Understandably, it was incredibly busy as locals ventured out to discover their newest neighbour. We were more than happy to nestle next to the open fire with our Virgin Marys (complete with Tobasco and Worcester Sauce for us to flavour to our preference!) catching up on all of our news.
When the menu came, it took us more than a little while to make our choices! They offer an all day brunch, mains and a roast… so we were spoilt for choice. We ended up plumping for a late brunch, choosing the Panfried Field Mushrooms, Marinated Ricotta, Truffle Balsamic & Parmesan on Toasted Sourdough. ONE BIG MASSIVE NOM! We weren’t disappointed, it was totally delish!
Dog friendly, there were plenty of adorable pups to coo over, not to mention a Pinterest-inspired interior and super-social outdoor benches which are perfect to soak up some fresh air following a late night, wrapped in the sumptuous blankets that they give to you.
I’ll definitely be heading back there – hopefully to try out their evening menu. Of course, I’ll totally claim it as a discovery of my own… sorry Fran!
