Breakfast at Tiffanys…. or mums, whatevs.

Bells is going to be a year old next week, can you believe it? Where has the time gone? I don’t think that I’m ready for a one year old! It goes without saying that she’s already being spoilt in the run up to the big day. Most recently we were sent a gorgeous Make My Day bib from Cheeky Rascals… they clearly got the memo that she’s going to be eating a lot of cake.

In the 6 months that Bells has been weaning, we’ve been through at least 40 bibs! Not because they get ruined (although they definitely do that too), but because we’re constantly on the hunt for one that does its job properly and if it looks half decent in the process, even better.

We’ve had flat ones, sleeved ones, neoprene ones, fabric ones, plastic ones, ones with crumb catchers, ones without…  We personally prefer those without sleeves (brave I hear you say!) because Bells isn’t a great eater at the best of times and so anything which restricts her slightly only ends in tears. As she’s doing Baby-Led Weaning, we prefer bibs with a decent crumb catcher to catch all of the food that gets dropped, and trust me there’s quite a bit… and it’s definitely not just crumbs. She’s taken to having seconds by helping herself to the leftovers that she later locates here.

When we discovered the Make My Day Baby Bibs, I couldn’t wait to give them a go. They’re made of a soft silicone have an easy adjustable latch which means no fussing and you can pop them in the dishwasher without having to worry about them getting ruined.

I know that this sounds silly, but the crumb catcher stays facing out (lots fold in towards the body of the bib, which defeats the whole object) which is one of my favourite features. However, hands down, the real reason that we’re in love with these bibs are for their designs.

The bibs come in 16 cute designs, inspired by imaginative play and dressing up, from ‘breakfast at mums’… see what they did there, to sheriffs, a bumble bee, a ladybird and a playful monkey.

I love this ‘breakfast at mums’ bib inspired by the classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s a really gorgeous mint colour and comes complete with pearls… which Bells was taken with. I should add here that she loved it a little too much, emptying the contents of her crumb catcher over her head as she tried to take a closer look. It’s definitely released her inner diva 🙄.

Thanks so much to the guys at Cheeky Rascals, something tells me this is going to be worn A LOT. If you’re interested in treating your cheeky rascal, you can buy them here for £14.99.

p.s. they also roll up to hold cutlery when you’re out and about. How cool is that?
