White Cotton Peonies

Last week, I had to pop into London to scope some venues for an upcoming blogger event that I’m hosting (more on that at a later stage!). After an early start, myself and the lovely Kenzie decided that it was time to re-fuel with coffee before heading to more meetings.

When I parked the car on Charlotte Street, I noticed a new restaurant that had popped up, called Barnyard, so we decided to go in just for drinks, and wifi, obvs.

All plans went out of the window when I spotted that they had homemade lemonade. That is of course after the shock had disappeared from Kenzie’s face when she discovered that I’d never actually had it before. I’ve lived a sheltered life, what can I say?

The lemonade took the whole of 2 seconds for me to consume – it was lemon tasting heaven in a glass… The fact that we then took it upon ourselves to start re-positioning everything within sight to take snaps for Instagram clearly didn’t go unnoticed from the waiter who found the whole thing very amusing. He also clearly thought that we needed a feed, offering some free Popcorn Ice-Cream with hot burnt fudge sauce. SAY WHAT?!?

Of course we had to say yes. It would have been rude not to really.

Ah-mazing. A very clever marketing technique as I’ll definitely be ordering the full size the next time I go back. I definitely had food envy, drooling over everybody’s orders as they arrived – the chicken wings looked insane. They also had a whole load of yummy looking veggie options (good if you’re a vegetable like me). I can’t wait to go back for a meal there, it’s top of my list for date night.

If you fancy popping in to check it out for yourself, I’d definitely recommend it. I’ve just spotted that they do a Sunday lunch too, definitely worth a gander!

Oh that looks lovely! I wish there were places like that in Kent but alas, nothing as pretty.
