White Cotton Peonies

Hello, you gorgeous fillies you!

On Sunday, myself and the boy’s family managed to enjoy one of our favourite past times, chilling in the sun at the polo. We’re members of Guards Polo and whilst the season starts in April, I’m very much a fair weather supporter and so often this means that I don’t enjoy my first match until June, making the season feel rather short!

It was the first time that I’d tried the Sunday Roast Buffet (I can definitely vouch for the bar menu which is delicious) but the salmon and minted peas that I had (amongst many other things) were delish. The winner hands down were their desserts though – so many amazing ones to try. I managed to pick my way through a load of them before passing them over to be devoured by Dickie. An expandable waistband is definitely advised.DSC_0106

dessertsDSC_0080IMG_3629IMG_3656DSC_0054I love watching matches at Guards as the Umpire is always hilarious, which is particularly important when your eyesight is as bad as mine (blame old age). I took a few minutes out to go to visit the gorgeous ponies in their paddocks. Their coats are so glossy and they’re always well groomed, leaving me walking away with serious hair envy.

DSC_0052You’ll probably already know that I have an obsession with miniature dachshunds and there were 4 in attendance at Sunday’s match. I’m planning that next time I’ll take a bigger tote and can scurry one away with me.

What’s your favourite thing to do on a Sunday? Do you have a favourite spot?
